Blaine B. "Ducky" Beadnell, age 94, of Wellsville, passed away at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born May 11, 1920, in Irondale, Ohio, to William and Mary Elizabeth (Duck) Beadnell.
Blaine was a graduate of Irondale High School. He was employed with Sterling China Company in Wellsville and later with Central Federal Savings and Loan in Wellsville as an appraiser.
He was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed singing and bowling in the church league. Blaine was a United States Army World War II Veteran and recipient of a bronze star.
Survivors include his four grandchildren, Jim (Luanne), Michaele, Julia (Dale) and Faith; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Wade (Zora) Beadnell of Sebring; sisters, Maxine Leishman of Louisville, Ruth Drugan of Salineville and Dorothy Walton of Minerva; and several nieces and nephews.
Blaine was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Duck with whom he was raised; wife, Margaruite (Roush) Beadnell whom he married April 1946; son, James Beadnell; brother, Tom Beadnell; and granddaughter, Rachel Beadnell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Davidson of Alliance Church of the Nazarene officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Springhill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio.
