Bobby D. Williams, age 36, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Alliance, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
He was born May 21, 1974 in Alliance, Ohio and was a 1993 graduate of Alliance High School. While residing in Alliance, he had been active with Second Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Bobby graduated from Antioch College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and worked for three years as the Early Awareness College Advisor for I Know I Can, a non-profit organization that works in conjunction with Columbus City Schools, helping students enter and succeed in college. He previously worked at Big Brothers/Big Sisters and then for three years at Project GRAD as a student advocate working with elementary school students.
Bobby loved life, he loved to dance and laugh, he enjoyed cooking and working out at the gym. He loved children and had a strong passion to help kids.
Bobby will be missed by his family, which includes his father, Rev. Bobby A. (Joyce A.) Williams of Alliance; his mother, Jeralee Washington of Canton; brothers, Rodney (Marlo) Washington of Canton, Charles (Ranea) Williams of Columbus, Chance Young, Lance Johnson and Tamboura Church, all of Canton; sisters, Angela (Anthony) Buckmon of Alliance, and Tara L. (Che) Bailey of Atlanta, Georgia; paternal grandmother, Ruth Thompson of Lexington, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Charles and Lucy Washington, paternal grandparents, Ollie and Alberta Williams, paternal grandfather, T.W. Thompson and sister, Ternina C. Williams Barnett.
Services will be held at Noon Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Feed My Sheep Ministries, 114 E. Main St., with Rev. Bobby A. Williams officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, at Feed My Sheep Ministries. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
