Bonita Ann “Bonnie” Collette, age 81, of Alliance passed away on February 25 at McCrea Manor. She was born in Alliance on December 20, 1941 to the late Charles L. and Helen (Lyberger) Collette.
Bonnie had a long and faithful career as a teller at Mt. Union, United, Unizan and Huntington Banks, retiring in 2007 after 45 years of service to her customers and the bank. During that time, she made many friends among her customers, always having a friendly greeting and a treat for their dogs.
She is preceded in death by her brother Jerry.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Charles “Hank” (Cindy) Collette of Canton, Ohio/Carlsbad, California; nieces, Melanie (Randy) Hulick of Springville, New York, Julie (Terry) Sabransky of Chardon, Ohio, Chae Collette (Tom Emison) of LaQuinta, California, Sue (Butch) Perry of Akron, Ohio; nephew, Charles (Rhonda) Taylor of Elizabeth, West Virginia and her beloved cat, Coco. She also leaves her long-time good friend, Sandy Gray.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 2-4pm at Cassady-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home in Alliance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society 5100 Peach St. NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
