Bradley Burton Morrison, age 55 of Alliance, died at 4:48 a.m. Saturday Nov. 18, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born in Canton, Ohio on Feb. 18, 1951 to Burton H. and Blanche (Phillips) Morrison. Brad grew up in Minerva, graduating from Minerva High School in 1969 before moving to Alliance.
A certified Tool and Die Maker, he worked for 37 years at Monarch Products in Minerva.
An active member of First Christian Church, Brad served as an Elder, Head of the Outreach Committee, Sunday School Teacher, member of: the Building Committee, official church board, Administrative Department, nominating committee chairman, church sign chairman and volleyball team. He was also instrumental in starting the Ambassadors for the Pride of Marlington group.
Brad was a devoted father, whose boys were Number One in his life; whatever the boys were doing, Brad was doing. This included being an overall sports enthusiast, with sports such as golf, baseball, soccer, and football. He especially enjoyed following Baldwin Wallace sports with his boys. He was active with Boy Scout Troop 50, and saw both his boys obtain the rank of Eagle Scout.
Survivors include his mother, Blanche Morrison of Minerva; wife, Geneva A. (Krabill) Morrison, whom he married April 10, 1976; sons Judd (Shannon) Morrison of Fairview Park, and Austin Morrison of Alliance; brother, Dennis (Michelle) Morrison of Canton; adopted sister, Jackie Davison of Alliance; sister-in-law Judy Morrison of New York; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burton H. Morrison on Nov. 12, 1977; and two brothers, Stephen on Oct. 17, 1949, and Dwayne on Aug. 13, 2002.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church with Pastor Pam Bruno and Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Minerva.
