Brent L. Bixler

Brent L. Bixler, age 47, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2024.

He was born on July 16, 1976, in Alliance, to Marvin L. Bixler and Cathie (Skolosh) Bixler.

Brent was a 1995 graduate of Alliance High School and was employed at Biery Cheese for more than 25 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served as an usher and was a part time sexton at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Alliance. Brent was a great father who enjoyed fishing, swimming, watching sports and loved spending time with family and friends playing pool, card games and sitting by a bonfire.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; son, Austin Bixler; brothers, Kyle (Leah) Bixler and Adam (Allison) Bixler; nephews and niece, Andrew, Shawn and Serena; grandmother, Catherine Skolosh; Austin’s mother, Lisa Retone; his cat, Shadow and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, May 31st from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edward Gretchko as celebrant.
