Breta F. Lozier, age 85, formerly of Paris, Ohio, passed away at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, at her daughter's home.
She was born August 6, 1931, in Alliance, Ohio to Harley and Bessie (Taylor) Oberlin.
A 1950 graduate of Louisville High School, Breta, and her husband Carl, owned a hobby farm raising cows, dairy goats, chickens, horses and other animals.
She was a member of Beechwood Christian Church and enjoyed latch hook, jigsaw puzzles, gardening and canning.
Survivors include her children, Lester Lozier of Alliance, Carol (Ivan) McGhee of Clewiston, Florida, Patricia (Steve) Grossman of Spokane, WA, Ida (Bill) Gantz, formerly of Paris, Jennie (Kevin) Mallon of Paris, Ohio, and Annette (Edwin) Wheeler of Ohio; and grandchildren, Mark and Ivan McGhee, Kristen Diley, Matt Boyd, Billy and J.D. Gantz, Katy Holley, Brandon and Shane Mallon, Joshua and Jacob Wheeler; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl H. Lozier, whom she married May 3, 1953 and who died January 18, 2003; and six brothers.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
