Bruce K. Pritchard, age 74 of Marlboro Township, died at his home at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2005.
He was born May 19, 1931 in Whitesville, New York to Bernard and Mable (Shutt) Pritchard.
He attended Whitesville Central High School, and was employed by Alliance Wall Corp. and later retired from Marlington Local Schools as a custodian.
He was a member of Limaville Lions Club. He was a former Webelo Leader of Pack #108. He was a former Hot Stove Baseball Coach and drove the instrument bus for the Marlington Band.
Bruce was a U.S. Army veteran, having been stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Swingin 60's bowling league, and bowled in the Vaughn mixed couples bowling league. He also golfed with the Wednesday night Oak Grove Men's League.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, V. Carmen (Matti) Pritchard, of Alliance, whom he married Nov. 6, 1965, one daughter, Cathleen (Jeffery) Klinginsmith of Atwater, Ohio, and three grandchildren, Brandon, Brynnlynn, and Bruce William Klinginsmith, and his dog, Mugsy.
Mr. Pritchard enjoyed spending time with this grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, David E. Pritchard, who died May 25, 1981, and Darrell L. Pritchard, who died Sept. 2, 1982, and brothers and sisters, Burnett Pritchard, Lester Pritchard, Loren Pritchard, W. Harlan Pritchard, Hannah Elizabeth Slingerland, Lawrence Pritchard, Clarence Pritchard, and Betty Jane Amidon.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Presbyterian Church with Pastor William Sadler officiating. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
