Bruce L. Tennis

Bruce L. Tennis, 85, of Alliance died April 13, 2023 at Aultman Alliance Hospital.

Bruce was born September 4, 1937 in Alliance, Ohio to Bill and Beatrice (Baker) Tennis and lived most of his life in Alliance.

Bruce was a graduate of Alliance High School then proudly served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Alliance City Schools after working many years in the maintenance department. He enjoyed coaching baseball, being outdoors and working outside.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, the former Helen Mcgrath; three sons, Jim (Vickie) Wiggs, Bruce (Lisa) Tennis, and Creigh Tennis all of Alliance; three daughters, Tammy (John) Triana, Kim (Ray) Haar, and Susan (Mike) Fiorentino all of Miami, Florida; a brother, Leonard “Sonny” Tennis of Savannah, Georgia; a sister, Midge Tennis Newman of San Antonio, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Tennis; brother, Paul Tennis; sister, Phillis Tennis Biggs; and his three favorite dogs, two Rottweilers, Rotten and Simba, a big-headed bully, Britany.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle –Christian Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
