Bruna Zinz, age 76, of Deerfield, passed away, Saturday, November 24, 2012, at her home.
She was born March 2, 1936, in Bessemer, PA, to Ramano and Adele Domini.
A graduate of Slippery Rock University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Westminster College where she earned her Master's in Education, Bruna taught HPE in the Bessemer School system and at Eagle Rock High School in Pasadena, CA. She was then a counselor at Stanton Junior High School.
She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. Bruna was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Deerfield Fire Dept. for all of their assistance.
Survivors include her husband, William Zinz of Deerfield; sister, Rose Novad of Bessemer, PA; brothers-in-law, Don (Lucille) Zinz and Ronald Zinz; several nieces and nephews, Daniel (Bessie) Zinz of Suffield, Jacob (Jennifer) Zinz of Toledo, Jeff Novad of Baltimore, Valerie (Fred) Urda of Rochester Heights, MI, Christine (Craig) Austin of Mentor, Michael (Janet) Novad of Bessemer and Mark (Sheri) Novad of Slippery Rock, PA.; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard W. Zinz, who was killed in an auto accident in Korea in 1996; and a great-nephew, Joseph Urda.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church 3295 S. Union Ave., Alliance, OH 44601.
