Byron Linear

Byron Linear, age 70, of Canton, passed away on April 29, 2022.

He was born on March 30, 1952 in Alliance to Everett and Velma (Anderson) Linear.

Byron graduated from Alliance High School in 1970. He then attended Akron Barber College and started his career as a barber. Byron enjoyed exchanging “Tall Tales” with his customers. He was also a well-known, accomplished, keyboard player and helped found the Bel-Airs music group.

Those left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Ashley Linear, Jennifer Linear, and Elsie Bennett; nephews, Michael A. Linear, Brent E. Linear Jr. and Brent E. Linear Sr.; aunt, Virginia Linear; uncle, Matthew (Ruby) Anderson; favorite cousins, Robert (Vergie) Proctor, Rev. Valerie Scott, Melba Susan Linear and Thomas Linear; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Artis M. Linear; aunts, Bertha Blackburn, Helen Joyce and Mable Anderson; and uncle, Hobart Linear.

A memorial service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, May 6th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Willie Bell will officiate.
