Carl E. Brown

Carl E. Brown, age 95, of Sebring, formally of Alliance, died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born January 25, 1917, in Ashland County, to Elvy and Effie (McBride) Brown.
A 1934 graduate of Jeromesville High School, Carl spent 10 years as a self-employed co-owner of Stonebridge Sales and for 20 years he was owner/partner of Brown & Holt Tires.
Carl enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Conrad Masonic Lodge #271 F & AM and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. He was also a life member of the BPOE #467, and a member of the Tadmore Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Sebring, whom he married on November 25, 1937; son, Darrell Brown of Saginaw, Michigan; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen and Mary; and two brothers, John and Howard.
Private family services will be held.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
