Carl Raymond Seevers Sr., age 74 of Alliance, died at 5:15 a.m. March 25, 2006 at home.
He was born February 22, 1932 in Alliance, Ohio to Earl and Isabelle (Meyers) Seevers and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Seevers graduated in 1950 from Alliance High School and was employed by American Steel Foundries for 35 years as an inspector. Carl enjoyed working with the Alliance City Strutters and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys (Persinger) Seevers, whom he married November 21, 1986; one daughter, Chris (John) McConnell of East Palestine, Ohio; three sons, Johnnie (Jackie) Seevers of East Rochester, Ohio, Carl R. Seevers Jr. of Sacramento, Ca., and Randy (Rene) Seevers of Seabrook, Tx.; one step daughter, Vicki (John) Stuckey of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Michael, Brad, Jonel, Jeffrey, William, Ellen and Janelle; four step-grandchildren, Winter Lynn, Heather, John Jr. and James Stuckey; three great grandchildren, Emma Mae, Austin James and Hunter Aiden; one brother, Earl (Pat) Seevers of Las Cruces, New Mexico; two sisters, Sandy Gampo and Carol (John) Augustine both of Alliance, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Seevers was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Twila Josephine Seevers; one daughter, Bonnie Ritenour; and one sister, Dorothy Hoebeke.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor William Sadler officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
