Carol Lavelle Flood, age 82 of Beloit, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1923 in Alliance, Ohio to Carl Columbus and Fanny Lavelle (Brown) Rockhill, and lived in Alliance until 1966, before moving to Sebring.
Mrs. Flood graduated in 1941 from Alliance High School, and was Part-Owner of Fidelity Properties and Vice-President from 1966 to 1984, when she retired.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and former member of the BPOE #467 Elks Auxiliary, and the YWCA.
She is survived by her life companion, Leonard "Dusty" Distefano, of Beloit; one daughter, Shelley D. (Gary) Visi, of Alliance; three sons, Dwane R. (Maria Elena) Jackson of Santiago, Chile, Scott K. Jackson of Annapolis, Maryland, and Kevin A. Flood of Alliance; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack K. (Karen) Rockhill of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Dwane Ralph Jackson, who died in 1957, and Andrew J. Flood; infant daughter, Cynthia Kay Jackson, daughter, Diane Jackson Aumend, son, Daryl C. Jackson, and daughter, Alisa Jackson Evers.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor L. Edwin Mosher officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
