Carol Jean Hale, age 81, beloved wife of her husband, James, went home to her heavenly father on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 after declining health.
She was born on November 16, 1943, in Thelma City, to Jefferson and Betty (Rodgers) Beck.
Carol was a 1962 graduate of Alliance High School and worked at various businesses during her life. She was proud of her Irish heritage. Carol was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene. She touched many lives with her passion and love of people, always sending cards for well wishes, birthdays, and thank yous.
Jim and Carol went on volunteer mission trips to Campinas Brazil and Kenya Africa with a stopover in Rome, Italy. On their 25th wedding anniversary, they celebrated by traveling to Madrid, Spain and on their 50th wedding anniversary they went to Ireland. Jim and Carol were married for 60 years.
Carol loved to read Amish books and go to garage sales. She also set up booths in flea markets. Carol loved to listen to music including the Booth Brothers, Statler Brothers, and the Oak Ridge Boys and watch tv, Shark Tank, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Father Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James; daughters, Diane Hale, Annette (Barry) Beegle, and Brenda (Robert) Tantzen; grandchildren, Zach Hale, Katie Eshelman, Josh Beegle, and George and Andrew Tantzen; brothers, Larry Beck and Calvin (Pam) Beck; sisters, Janet Vogus and Pam (Lorin) Kleinhans; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Waldo, Wilbur, Ron and Dale Beck.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, April 14th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
