Caroline D. Cibella, age 81, of Alliance, formerly of Warren, passed away at 12:01 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born November 30, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Anthony and Lucy (Cicora) Miccio.
Caroline attended Cleveland Public Schools.
She was a former member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Warren and was a former Cub Scout mother and den leader.
Caroline enjoyed working with ceramics, baking and cake decorating. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
Survivors include her daughters, Catherine Cibella of Louisville, Mary L. Cibella and her husband, David A. Beal of Cleveland; son, Vincent F. Cibella of Alliance; three grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Schaefer, David (Nicole) Hendrick and Antonio (Bridget) Cibella; two great grandchildren, Myah and Kylie Schaefer, brother, Warren (Kathy) Miccio; many nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Charles S. Cibella, whom she married November 11, 1946, and who died March 21, 1984; and a brother, Charles.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2011, at Cassaday Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Cortland, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kent State University Foundation at KSU Deans Office 408 White Hall, Kent, Ohio 44242 for the Charles S. and Caroline D. Cibella Education Scholarship.
