Carolyn Maude Lockard, age 92, of Alliance, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born April 9, 1920, in Canton, Ohio, to William Earl and Eva (Jolly) Jacob.
A 1938 graduate of McKinley High School, Carolyn was employed at Aultman Hospital as an EKG and EEG Technician for 22 years. She was a member of the Vine Street United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, ballroom dancing, traveling and retiring to Florida for 14 years.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Thomas L. (Juanita) Lockard of Seville, Ohio; daughter, Carole J. Tucker of Marlboro, Ohio; nine grandchildren; Tracy Lockard of North Carolina, Theresa (Dave) DeUnger of Alliance, Lisa (Mark) Striker of Cincinnati, Liann Connor of South Carolina, Laura (Tim) Klenke of Loveland, Joe (Laurie) Tucker of Clinton, Mike (Brittanie) Tucker of Alabama, Tom Jr. (Bri) Lockard of N. Las Vegas and Scott West of Seville; sixteen great grandchildren; one niece and three nephews
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Dale Eugene Lockard, whom she married August 6, 1939 and who died September 26, 1991; sister, Betty Dawson; son-in-law, Rick Tucker and her beloved dog, Skipper.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. David Bloor of Vine Street United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday December 14, 2012. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
