Florence Carrol (Vaughn) Grimes Weddell, age 93, of Alliance, passed away at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Bel-Air Care Center.
She was born December 17, 1920 in Marlboro, Ohio, to Forest and Elsie (Brantingham) Vaughn.
A 1937 graduate of Marlboro High School, Carrol was a member of Beechwood United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Ladies Circle for many years.
She was also a member of the Tridecka Card Club and the Beechwood Pioneers and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Tana (Edward) Conrad of Homeworth and Ronald Grimes of Paris, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Haines of Alliance and Dorothy Lasky of Florida; brother, Dale Vaughn of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lewis D. Grimes and Jack Weddell, sons, Delbert and Mark Grimes; sister, Geraldine Westra; brothers, Roger and William Vaughn; and daughter-in-law, Anne E. Grimes.
Services will be held at Noon Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Beechwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Beechwood United Methodist Church, 3450 Beechwood Ave., Alliance, Ohio 44601.
