Catherine G. Husat

Catherine G. Husat, age 90, of Alliance, Ohio died at 5:30 p.m. December 24, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born September 21, 1917 in Alliance, Ohio to George J. and Minnie (Brooks) Smith.
Katie graduated from Alliance High School in 1936 and worked at Transue and Williams for 41 years before retiring as a computer operator in 1983.
She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and was active in the Catholic Women's Club, Regina Coeli Senior Citizens, Altar and Rosary Society of Regina Coeli, Infant of Prague Guild, member of Alliance Senior Citizen's and past Chairman of the Womens Division of Alliance Chamber of Commerce.
Her family included, Greg (Marianne) Buck, Scott (Sheilla) Buck, Laurie (Brian) Wright and their children; stepdaughters, Marilyn Ellis and Jeanne Berntson; and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold Husat whom she married February 28, 1987 and who died August 21, 1990; and a brother George Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Father Mike Seifert officiating. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Alliance.
