Catherine Ann Zingg, age 92 of Alliance, died at 8:05 am. Wednesday February 2, 2005 at Altercare of Alliance.
Mrs. Zingg was born Feb. 11, 1912 in Alliance, Ohio to Walter and Mary (Scanlon) Britton and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
She attended the former St. Joseph Elementary School and Alliance High School, and was employed as a clerk for the former Thompson's Grocery Store in Alliance.
Mrs. Zingg was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Louise (Elmer) Weber of Alliance, four sons, Walter (Judy) Zingg of Alliance, Alfred (Patty) Zingg of Beloit, Warner (Glenna) Zingg Jr. of Alliance, and Roger Zingg of Canton; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warner K. Zingg, whom she married Nov. 24, 1936, and who died Dec. 12, 1967, three brothers, including Paul Britton, and one sister, Rita Britton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
