Cathryn V. Adams

Cathryn V. Adams, age 86 of Alliance, died at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 28, 2006 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born Oct. 10, 1920 in Alburtis, Pennsylvania to George W. and Alice M. (Hilbert) Bortz and lived in the Alliance area since 1956.
Mrs. Adams attended Hensingersville Public Schools in Pa., and worked as a shipping clerk for Bonney Forge and Tool in Alliance for 29 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Alice K. Turner of Alliance; sister, Betty Smith of Allentown, Pa., 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell E. Adams, whom she married June 27, 1964, and who died March 31, 1985, step-mother, Lela (Irey) Bortz, six brothers, John, Clarence, George, and Edwin Bortz and Aaron and William Seaser, step-son, Donald Adams, grandson, Scott Adams, sister, Annabel Bortz, and step-daughter, Louise Gould. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Minister Terry Kirsch officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
