Cathy Jo Haidet (Owens)

Cathy Jo Haidet (Owens), age 56, of Alliance, formerly of Barberton, Ohio, passed away suddenly at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Akron City Hospital with her loving husband by her side.
She was born October 18, 1960, to Quillan Owens and JoAnn (Rhodes) Clemmer in Barberton, Ohio, where she grew up and graduated from Norton High School in 1979.
Cathy enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, her fur baby, Buddy, and her friends. She was the happiest when she was shopping, working outside and volunteering her time to any of the many issues that she was passionate about.
Professionally, Cathy spent 25 years with Budget Rent-A-Car and the past five years as part of the Lavery Automotive family. She made many lifelong friends throughout her career who will miss her deeply.
Survivors include her parents, JoAnn (Ronald) Clemmer of Brevard, North Carolina; Quillan (Penny) Owens of Tucson, Arizona; her husband, Jeff Haidet; step-daughter, Samantha Haidet; and her fur baby, Buddy, all of Alliance, Ohio; sister, Vicki (Jay) Groat; nephew, Jackson Groat of Westerville, Ohio; and brother, Kevin Owens of Tampa, Florida.
A celebration of life service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the service.
