Charles W. Andrie, age 67, of Alliance, died at 9:34 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born, December 4, 1940 in Atwater, Ohio to John W. and Dorothy K. (Lelesch) Andrie.
Charles was a 1958 graduate of the former Atwater High School. He was formerly employed as a Lexington Township Police Officer and later worked in maintenance at Transue and Williams Forge, and was police security at Burger King. He was also owner and operator of Andrie Automotive.
Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and enjoyed auto repair, auto racing and golfing.
He is survived by his father, John W. Andrie of Alliance; daughter, Tracy (Frank) Kungl of Cuyahoga Falls; one grandson, Adam Blake of Alliance; his aunt, Margie Babington of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; many cousins and close friend, Gloria Lane of Alliance.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and infant sister.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
