Charles E. "Chuck" Bittner

Charles E. "Chuck" Bittner, age 66, of Atwater, passed away at 6:20 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at University Hospital Portage Medical Center (formerly Robinson Memorial Hospital).
He was born February 15, 1950, in Alliance, Ohio, to Charles E. and Evadine (Partin) Bittner.
Chuck was a graduate of Waterloo High School and a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army.
A "Jack of All Trades", Chuck was also a firefighter for Lexington Township. He was a member of the NRA.
Survivors include his mother, Evadine Bittner of Atwater; son, Kevin C. (Brittany) Bittner of Atwater; and grandson, Kevin Lee Bittner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bittner; and wife, Margaret Ann (Baker) Bittner, whom he married April 11, 1981 and who died August 16, 2015.
A military honors service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2016, at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Monday prior to the service at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
