Charles E. Martz

Charles E. Martz, age 83, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018, at McCrea Manor. He was born October 14, 1935, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to Kenneth and Irene (Neff) Martz. Charles worked as a welder for the West Virginia Department of Transportation. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and was very successful in raising and breeding championship beagles. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (Krueger) Martz, whom he married February 8, 1969; sister, Joyce Ratcliff of Garrettsville, brothers, John Martz of Florida, and Rick Martz of Buckhannon, West Virginia; sisters-in-law, Ruth Krueger Biltz of Alliance, and Margaret Krueger Smith of Hiram; and several nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held with interment in Buckhannon City Cemetery, Buckhannon, West Virginia at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
