Charles Blyss Moorhead, age 65, of Canton passed away on December 1, 2021.
He was born on January 30, 1956 in Shelby, Ohio to Paul Blyss and Lois (Noble) Moorhead.
Charles graduated from the former Lehman High School and went on to obtain a degree in education from Malone University and an architecture degree from The Ohio State University. He worked in both the fields of education and architecture.
Charles grew up at the Greenwood Christian Church and was a member of the “Tell It Singers”. He was a current member of Marlboro Christian Church. Charles was passionate for the Boy Scouts and was a lifelong member of the Buckeye Council. He was active with Camp Tuscazoar and Seven Ranges and he was most recently Chaplain for Troop 127 in Canton. Charles led youth choirs and musicals at Cornerhouse Christian Church and Marlboro Christian Church and served in many capacities at Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; his wife, Tamara (Harlan) Moorhead, whom he married December 2, 1989; his son, Ethan Jacob Moorhead; sister, Jacqueline (Dave) Chen; brothers, Nelson (Cynthia) Moorhead and Robert Moorhead; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Scout; two cats, Leia and Whiskers; and rabbit, Rocket.
He was preceded in death by his father; a great-nephew, Gabriel; and a great-niece, Faith Gabrielle.
A memorial service will be held at Marlboro Christian Church on Sunday, January 30th at 1:00 p.m. Pastors Ed Carter and Ed Harnish will officiate.
