Charles F. Renz III, age 68, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Canterbury Villa of Alliance surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 20, 1950, in Alliance, Ohio, to Charles F. II and Thelma (Hedrick) Renz.
Charles graduated from Marlington High School and was employed with The Hoover Company until his retirement.
A “Jack of All Trades”, Charles was also a former member of the Balsa Bees Club and the Canton RC Club. He loved fishing and spending time playing with his grandkids and making model air planes.
An aircraft mechanic having served in the United States Marines from 1970-1974, Charles was also a member of the Air Force Reserve.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Weaver) Renz, whom he married September 19, 1975 and shared 43 years of marriage with; children, Danielle (John) Leasure, Clinton (Christina) Renz, and Rob (Nicole) Renz; grandchildren, Kyle, Jorden, Ethan, Bryce, Natalie, Bodhi and Benson; sister, Dian Reagan; and brother, Lester, “Scott” (Tollie) Renz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association 70 W. Streetsboro St. Suite 201 Hudson, OH 44236.
