Charles C. Stauffer

February 24, 1950 — November 5, 2018

Charles C. Stauffer, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Nov 5, 2018 surrounded by his family. Following a 20 year battle with Parkinson's disease, Charlie now sees his Savior face to face.
He was born February 24, 1950, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Clarence and Betty Jane (Delong) Stauffer.
Charlie was a graduate of Southeastern High School in Chillicothe and received his bachelor degree from Ohio University. He also earned his Professional Engineering licensure.
He was employed as a chemical engineer at Babcock & Wilcox Research in Alliance and Barberton for his entire career.
Charlie was a member of Community Bible Church and served as an elder and adult Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the Salem Square Wheels and enjoyed playing basketball and baseball, and working with stain glass. His faith in Christ was most important to him and influenced his selfless love for his family and church. Charlie led by example and his life's mission was to point his family and others to faith in Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri (Hans) Stauffer of Alliance; daughters, Sarah J. (Aaron) Walker of Beloit and Becky Stauffer (Hearn) of Columbus; grandchildren, Brenna, Micah, Eden, Levi, Haven and Ellerie Walker; grandchildren, Max and Eli Hearn; sisters, Jane Speakman and Linda (Roger) Severson; many nieces and nephews; and beloved friends, Bob and Pam Denny.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Steve Severson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Community Bible Church in Beloit with Pastor John A. Tucker and Pastor Aaron Walker co-officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 9th at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Kim Smith and Alliance Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Charlie.
