Charles "Russ" Winwood, age 88, of Alliance died at 8:35 a.m. Friday October 3, 2003 at Canterbury Villa.
Mr. Winwood was born in Brownsville, PA on July 25, 1915.
A retired truck driver, he attended First Assembly of God church, and was a member of his local Teamsters Union.
Survivors include his wife, Ella M. (Evers) Winwood of Alliance, a daughter Carol Jean Stewart of Greenville, TN, a son David Winwood, of Greenville, TN, a son Donald Evers Jr. of Homeworth, a son James L. Evers of Louisville, a daughter Barbara Ott of Louisville, a daughter Carol Haynes of Canton and a son Ronald Evers of Alliance, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call Monday evening from 7-9pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
