Charles W. Schott, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully in his Alliance home February 18th, 2020 at the age of 65.
Charles was born on March 8th, 1954, in Sebring, Ohio to Edgar A. Schott II and Mona M. (Wills) Schott.
He received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Mount Union College in the class of 1977. On May 15th, 1982 he married Bonnie L. (Roller) Schott and they raised their son, Charles E. Schott.
Charles was passionate about helping those in need of mental health and addiction recovery. He was a devoted caseworker and retired from COMMQUEST in 2019.
Charles was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State football fan. He loved listening to music and vacationing with his family every summer. He was known for his warm, friendly spirit and compassion for those from all walks of life.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; son, Charles; brother, Edgar “Butch” (Donna) Schott; and his fifteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mona Schott and sister, Shirley (Schott) Jackson.
Calling hours will be held from 9-11 a.m., February 22, 2020 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Services will be held following the visitation. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
