Charlotte A. Loar, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2022.
She was born on May 1, 1957, in Canton, Ohio, to Earl P. & Evelyn M. (Apperson) Leiter.
Charlotte graduated from Louisville High School in 1975 and then graduated in Spring of 1996 from Stark State with her Physical Therapy Assistance degree. She worked for Aultman Hospital Physical Therapy, then worked as a home healthcare service provider. She opened her own private massotherapy practice called The Massage Place.
Charlotte was a member of the Jane Bain Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Damascus Friends Church and also attended Alliance Friends Church. Charlotte enjoyed researching family genealogy, crafting with the grandkids, camping, pool days at home with family and took many motorcycle trips with friends. More than anything, Charlotte loved spending time with family.
Charlotte was the family baker, making Christmas cookies and her famous apple pies and loved having friends and family over for special occasions and parties. She had a mischievous sense of humor and immersed herself in everything she did with passion. Charlotte was an avid reader, writer, conversationalist and impressed her loving character on all she knew and loved.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who dedicated herself to helping others.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband and best friend, Danny, whom she married April 23, 1977; her children Christy (Jason) Definbaugh, Nick (Amanda) Loar; her grandchildren, Jake Definbaugh and Morgan Loar; a brother, Philip (Rebecca Benson Leiter) Leiter; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her dog, Sophie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Zach Definbaugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, December 10th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Russ Gumm officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution, checks can be made payable to Jane Bain Chapter NSDAR and mailed to 682 Industry Rd, Atwater, Ohio 44201 C/O Dee Grimm.
