Cheryl L. Egan, age 71, of Alliance, passed away at 5:17 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Aultman Hospital. She was born August 20, 1941, in Canton, to Dr. John W. and Alma J. (Tierney) Teeters. Cheryl graduated from Alliance High School. She was employed as office manager at the Time Warner Cable Alliance branch retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries at the VFW Post 1036 and the American Legion Post 166. She loved working puzzles, playing online games, and reading, and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Survivors include her husband, Bob Egan of Alliance whom she married February 1, 2001: children Libby (Steve) Jarvis of Alliance, Greg (Kelly) Wachunas of Canton and Sarah Wachunas (Chuck Bigelow) of Galion; stepchildren, Greg (Sharon) Egan of Denver Colorado, Margie (Gary) Talbot of Woodbridge Va., Debbie (Leslie) Short of San Antonio, Texas and Brian Egan of Palestine, Texas; grandchildren Alie, Katie and John Jarvis and Lucas Wachunas; brothers, Jim Teeters of Alliance and David Teeters of Rootstown; sister-in-law, Diana Teeters of Alliance; nieces and nephews, Tierney and Tom Bratten, Sarah and Mike Oakes, and Ryan Teeters. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tom Teeters; infant sister; and nephew, Aaron Teeters. Services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service.
