Christine A Jones

Christine Ann Jones passed to her eternal reward Sunday at 6:45 a.m. at Community Care following a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born Easter Sunday April 18, 1954, in Alliance and lived all her life in the Alliance and Columbus areas.
She was the daughter of Esther E. Pauli Ailes and the late James B. Ailes. When Christine was young, her mother called her "My Little Angel." Christine was formerly a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Alliance High School June 6, 1972, and was a member of the last graduating class before the old Alliance High School was razed. She attended Bowling Green State University for two years. She met her now-former husband Robert P. Jones and they moved to Columbus in 1978.
Christine was a dog lover, especially her pets BJ and Brittany. She also enjoyed outdoor activities, including bicycling, and liked solving crossword puzzles.
Christine worked as a legal secretary for 28 years in the Columbus area. She moved back to Alliance in July 2011.
Survivors include her mother, her aunt Helen Pauli, several cousins, and three nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother Gregory; grandparents Jacob and Erma Oswalt Pauli and Floyd and Alma Ailes; her aunts Helen (Thomas) Hazen, Thelma (Richard) Saunier, and Phyllis (Charles) Price, and her uncle Ivan Pauli.
Cassaday-Turkle Funeral Home is handling arrangements, which include cremation. The family will hold private graveside services Friday at Fairmount Memorial Park.
