Christine K. (Shade) Fletcher

Christine K. Fletcher, age 70, of Alliance, passed away at 6:17 a.m., Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Community Care Center with her family by her side.

She was born March 11, 1949, in Alliance, Ohio to Harry Richard and Virginia (Sourbeck) Shade.

A 1967 graduate of Marlington High School, Christine then went to Timken School of Practical Nursing becoming an LPN. She was formerly employed by Community Care Center in Alliance until her retirement in 2014.

Christine enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and shopping at Consignment and Primitive Shops.

Survivors include her husband, Frank H. Fletcher of Alliance, whom she married December 5, 2003; three sons, Joshua P Strain of Columbus, Jeremy (Camille) Strain of Kent and Lennon Strain of Louisville; two daughters, Violet Coblentz of Green and Christy Rosier of Alliance; five grandchildren, Nova, Venah, Kaiden, Kai and Reid; three sisters, Marg (Ralph) Gunther of N. Carolina, Jan (Sam) Donohoe of Pennsylvania and Patricia (Mike) Berman of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Christine’s family will have a private family gathering to celebrate her life at a later date.
