Cindy D. Hill

Cindy D. Hill, age 64, passed away peacefully at 3:40 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cindy was born April 20, 1951, in Alliance, Ohio, to Richard B. and Nancy (Edinger) Wollam.
A librarian in the Alliance City Schools for 25 years, Cindy was an avid reader and shopper of shoes. Her greatest love was taking care of her family, especially her beloved dog, MacGyver.
Cindy will be loved and missed by her family, including her husband, Dennis L. Hill, whom she married Aug. 3, 1968; daughter, Amy (Tom) Flynn of Alliance; son, Matt (Colelette) Hill of Alliance; her mom, Nancy Wollam of Alliance; grandchildren, Samantha Swank, Cassidee Swank, Taylor Lautzenheiser, and Logan Hill; brothers, Richard (Sheree) Wollam, of Alliance, and Ted Wollam of Durham, N.C.; sister, Rebekah (John) Simcic of Springdale, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday September 28, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Cindy's family suggests memorial contributions to Alliance Hospice, 2461 W. State St. Suite E, Alliance, OH 44601.
Cindy's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Cleveland Clinic for their care and support.
