Claire Lee Culberson Hahlen went home to be with the Lord December 15, 2018.
She was born June 27, 1925, in Alliance, Ohio, to Elmer and Mabel Culberson.
She attended Alliance High School, worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company and retired from Woolworth's with 25 years of service.
Claire Lee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Games were a great source of joy to her, from crossword puzzles, cards, board games and computer games. She loved the beach and spent many winters in Naples, Florida. She had many friends and made many lifelong friendships through the years.
She was a long standing member of United Church of Christ.
She is survived by and remembered with great love and admiration by her family: daughter, Renee Glosser (Rich McCrea) of Alliance; sons, Thomas (Linda) Hahlen of Avon Lake, Robert (Bea) Hahlen of Greeneville, Tennessee and Jack Hahlen Jr. of Alliance; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, LaRue Trumpeter of Canton; a special niece, Jeri Hahlen Koufos of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Jack L. Hahlen, Sr.; grandson, Thomas Scott Hahlen; sister, Shirley Stryffeler; son-in-law, Terry Glosser; and daughter-in law, Rubi Hahlen.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours and entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
