Claire E. Riesen

Claire E. Riesen, age 82 of Alliance, died at 10:35 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018, at her home.
She was born September 5, 1936, in Alliance, Ohio, to Oscar and Mildred (Householder) Valentine and lived in Alliance most of her life.
Claire was a graduate of Alliance High School in 1956. She was formerly employed by DeCon, before retiring from Sun Valley Nursing Home.
Claire enjoyed taking care of her puppies, shopping at Walmart, sewing, playing her guitar, and attending Gospel concerts. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by four sons, Bruce (Pat) Riesen of Alliance, Mark Riesen of Alliance, Jeff (Alainia) Riesen of Louisville, and Brian (Deanna) Riesen of Homeworth; two daughters, Lynn (Rocky) Deel of Spencer, West Virginia, and Susan Yoho of Sebring; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice (Steve) Molnar of Uniontown; and one brother, Don Valentine of Reno, Nevada.
Mrs. Riesen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William K. "Bill" Riesen, whom she married March 19, 1959, and who died April 10, 2006.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
