Clara J. Barker

Clara J. Barker, age 76, of Alliance passed away on December 19, 2021.

She was born on January 25, 1945 in Alliance to Robert and Dorothy (Walters) Sears.

Clara was a retired housewife and enjoyed spending time at home with her family and Buddy. She was a member of the Dante Club, Eagles and The Christopher Columbus Club. Clara enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling and fishing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Bourne, Leroy (Sherry Hanshaw) Bates, Brian (Angela) Bates and Chris Barker; seven grandchildren and one on the way; several great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Steve (Ruby) Sears, Jim (Sharon) Sears, Ivy (Mike) Ray and Donald Sears.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Clifton “Greg” Barker, whom she married on October 14, 1989 and who passed away February 7, 2021.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 23rd at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Reverend Roger Dulaney will officiate.
