Clara Hodgekin

Clara E. Hodgekin, age 85, of Alliance passed away at 12:34 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Summits Trace Rehab Center in Canton.
She was born May 27, 1924 on the family's farm in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, to George and Nellie (Walker) Hodgekin.
Clara was a graduate of Point Marian High School in Point Marian, PA and retired as a payroll supervisor at American Steel Foundries in 1984.
She enjoyed bowling and was an avid sports fan. An artist who enjoyed painting, she also enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Charles, Melvin, and her twin brother, Edwin; sisters, Sara Brewer, Bessie Cook, Ruth Hodgekin and Blanch Watson.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at Fairmount Memorial Park.
