Clara E. Woll, age 96, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Alliance, Ohio, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at Hope Hospice Care Center in Cape Coral, Florida.
She was born March 30, 1914, in Reading, Michigan to James Frederick Phelps and Hazel Bell (Goforth) Phelps.
Clara was a 1932 graduate of Reading High School and Jackson Community College. She was employed as a nurse's aid till she became a Licensed Practical Nurse for Jackson Community Hospital in Michigan. She retired from nursing in 1976.
She was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene and a member of the D.A.R. of Alliance.
Survivors include her son, Brian P. Bidlack of Alliance; three daughters, Christine E. Siemsen of Peotone, Illinois, and Linda D. Kast and Brenda A. Tobin, both of Cape Coral, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola M. Seely of Reading, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard E. Bidlack in 1957 and Lewis H. Woll in 1987; daughter Frances M. Calkins; and a sister, Maxine Ryan.
A memorial service is pending.
