Clarence “Bill” William Powell III, age 70, made his departure into heaven Wednesday, December 30th surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 10, 1950 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late JoAnn Lyle Powell and Clarence Wm. Powell, Jr.
Bill worked at American Steel/ Alliance Castings for 42 years as a welder. He loved his job and the guys he worked with.
Bill was a member of the Alliance Christian Center and served there for 40 years. He loved to preach and encourage people in the Lord. He was an artist and blessed many with his work.
Those left to cherish his memory and legacy include his wife Linda, whom he married November 16, 1972; his children, Jen (George) Hill and Tim (Sabrina) Powell; grandchildren Madison (John) Zellers, Michael Hill, Lillian and Adelyn Powell; his siblings, Steve (Marsha) Powell, Janey (Roy) Watt, Terri (Joe) Larkins, and Patricia (James) Rabon; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debbie Duschl, step-brother Ralph Wagers, and stepmother Mary Wagers Powell.
A Celebration Of Life service will be held Saturday, January 2, 10:00 at the Alliance Christian Center, 670 W Main St. Alliance, OH, 44601. Bill's son Tim and brother Steve Powell will officiate the service. The service will be live streamed on the church's website www.alliancechristiancenter.org .
Those attending the service must adhere to the guidelines and mandates set forth by the State of Ohio and wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing when possible.
