Cody Joe Edward Anderson, age 13 of Alliance, died at Akron Children's Hospital at 11:04 p.m. July 6, 2004.
He was born April 18, 1991 in Alliance to Kevin Anderson and Angela Anderson-Commeans and lived all his life in Alliance.
Cody attended Louisville Elementary and Marlington Middle School.
He liked hunting and fishing and being outdoors. Cody also enjoyed music, sports, camping and being with his friends.
Survivors include his father Kevin Anderson of Alliance, his mother Angela Anderson-Commeans of Sebring; two brothers Kevin Michael Anderson of Sebring, and Dillon Scot Jarvis of Alliance; two sisters Tiffany Lynn Charles of Sebring and Krystal Kay Charles of Columbus, paternal grandmother Mary L. Anderson of Alliance, maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Brenda Kay and Wilford W. Edwards of Sebring; maternal grandfather Delbert Edward Commeans of Columbus, maternal great-grandfather Charles E. Sowards of Grove City, Ohio, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cody was preceded in death by his loving grandfather Norvel J. Anderson, maternal great-grandmother Lora Kathleen Sowards, maternal great-grandparents Virginia Mary Commeans and Leonard Otto Commeans and paternal great-grandparents.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Maranatha Church of God, 14289 Edison St. NE, Alliance, with Bishop Jeffrey W. Caldwell and Rev. Delania Kaiser officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Maranatha Church God Youth Fund.
