Corinne McCord

Corinne I. McCord, age 85, of Alliance, died at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born in Deerfield, Ohio on June 13, 1926 to William J. and Mary A. (Thompson) Griffith.
Corinne attended Alliance High School, formerly attended the Freeburg Church of the Brethren and was a member of the William Penn Club. A phenomenal seamstress and quilter, Corinne never needed a pattern and could make anything from scratch.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Jo Fast of Alliance; grandchildren, Amy Nezbeth, William McCord, Steven McCord and Shaun McCord; three great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John R. "Jack" McCord, who passed away on August 8, 1988; and two sons, Steven J. and Keith I. McCord.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Freeburg Cemetery with Pastor Mike Harmon officiating.
