Corinne Blackburn Ruby, 93, of Sebring, Ohio, died on December 31, 2013, at Crandall Medical Center at Copeland Oaks. Corinne was born in Byesville, Ohio to Thomas S. and Mildred Spaid Blackburn. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Frank M. Blackburn, and her beloved husband of 68 years, C. Orland Ruby. She is survived by her son Thomas O. (Mary Jo) Ruby of Gahanna, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister, Marsena Miller, of Richwood, Ohio, her sister-in-law, Vera Blackburn, of West Liberty, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. Corinne graduated from Byesville High School, attended Ohio Wesleyan University and George Peabody College, and received her master's degree from Scarritt College. A director of Christian education, she worked with her husband, a United Methodist minister, in churches in Bethesda, Tennessee, and Edison, Centerburg, New London, Alliance, East Liverpool and New Franklin, Ohio. There will be family graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville, Ohio, at 11 a.m. on January 3, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, in Alliance, Ohio, on January 11, 2014, at Noon, where the family will receive visitors one hour before the service.
