Cornell Cornea

Cornell J. Cornea, age 78, of Alliance died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Alliance, Ohio, July 20, 1929 to Cornell John and Anna Cornea.
Cornell was a graduate of Alliance High School and was employed as a carpenter.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1954.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara and her husband, Douglas Lockhart of Alliance and his brother, Charles E. (Ursella) Cornea of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Cornell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Katherine E Cornea, whom he married October 6, 1956 and who died June 21, 1997; and his son, Cornell Michael Cornea.
Private services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008 with Fr. Raymond J. Samoila officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of donor's choice.
