Coy "Bud" Arbogast, age 79, of Alliance, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born November 12, 1929 in Cherry Grove, West Virginia, to Don and Icie (Teter) Arbogast.
A graduate of Elkins High School in Elkins, West Virginia; Bud was a Colonel Auctioneer and owner of the former Arbogast Auction Service. He was also a realtor and owner of Arbogast Electric Service.
He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Beloit.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte (Shaffer) Arbogast, whom he married February 23, 1973; children, Donell (Pat) Arbogast, Jennie (Edward) Slimon, Jinger (John) Toler, Ty Arbogast, Jolene (Bob) Huffman, Duane (Linda) Porter, Charlene (Chris) Burns, Sharon Phillips, Deborah Phillips, Karen (Irvin) Stiffler, Kevin Phillips, Scot (Melissa) Phillips; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and siblings, Carl (Doris) Arbogast, Betty Jean Pennington, and Guy (Karen) Arbogast and Earl (Daisy) Arbogast.
Coy was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Delbert Arbogast, Bonnie Smith, Elva Wamsley, Cynthia Hackett, Hoy "Curly" Arbogast, Dreamis Arbogast and Rosa Lee Campbell; and one son, Bradford Phillips.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James White officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Elkins, West Virginia.
