Cynthia Aud Castellucci, (Cindy), of Mount Airy, MD passed away on the 19th of May 2015 at the Homewood of Frederick Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born on the 4th of May 1949 at Sibley Hospital, Washington DC to Shirley (Prentice) and Edward Aud. Cindy won her battle against ovarian cancer in 2000, but the battle against brain cancer was not winnable.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Gerald, her son Gregory, his wife Soraya, their sons Bryan and Daniel, their daughter Shanna, and her son Kevin, his wife Amanda, their son Benicio, and their daughter Olivia. Also surviving her are her sister Beverly, her brother Kenneth, and her mother Shirley. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Edward, and her nephew Trace Knight.
Gerald Castellucci was born in Alliance to Frank and Esther Castellucci. Cindy and Gerald have stayed close to their Alliance family.
Cindy graduated from Wheaton High School in 1967. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland in 1972, and a Master's Degree in Business and Psychology from Hood College with in 1985.
Cindy's career was her family and she was very good at it. She worked briefly for Vector Research in Rockville, MD and for Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Eldersburg, MD.
Cindy's greatest joys in life were her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a loyal friend, the kind of friend everyone wishes they had. She made friends wherever she went. She had a warm personality and infectious laugh, which caused strangers to instantly feel comfortable with her. Cindy loved to lunch with friends, cook, entertain and watch movies.
