Cyril Jay Farmer, age 88, of Louisville, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center.
He was born May 12, 1926 in Bridgeport, Ohio to Cyril and Katherine (Cookes) Farmer.
Cyril was a graduate of Mount Union College and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus. A lay speaker and recreational pilot, Cyril also enjoyed model airplanes, boy scouts, his HAM radio and was a very faith driven man.
Survivors include his children, Lucinda Jo Dustin of California, William Jon (Claire) Farmer of Texas, Ralph Nelson (Pam) Farmer of North Benton and Sue Ann (Steve) Yarian of Alliance; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three step-daughters; and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Farmer; and wives, Ingeborg and Valery.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Corbett and Rev. Ken Price co-officiating. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service, at the church. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
