Dale L. Eick, age 62, of Homeworth, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born September 26, 1947 in Minerva, Ohio to Dwaine A. and Velma M. (Richardson) Eick.
Dale was a 1966 graduate of Minerva High School and was employed as a UPS driver for 35 years.
He loved antiquing, refinishing furniture, spending time with his grandchildren, helping others and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Dale was a veteran of the U. S. Army, attended the First Brethren Church of North Georgetown and was a member of the Knox Ruritans.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. (Sanor) Eick, whom he married November 22, 1969; son, Kurt A. (Julie) Eick of Rossford; daughter, Jennifer L. (Aaron) Milliken of Beloit; four grandchildren, Austin L. Eick, Sidney A., Josie L. & Truss A. Milliken; and one brother, Dwaine E. "Butch" (Sally) Eick.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., September 23, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Funkhouser officiating. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
