Dale M. Garlock, age 80, of Sebring, passed away at his home at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013.
He was born December 15, 1932 in Alliance, Ohio to Sherman and Mabel (Sutcliffe) Garlock.
A 1950 graduate of Salem High School, Mr. Garlock received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Mount Union in 1959, and his Master's Degree in Education from Kent State in 1962.
He was an educator for seven years with Alliance City Schools, Principal at Liberty Elementary for seven years, Director of Special Projects for Alliance City Schools for seventeen years, before finishing his career working with the state to maintain industry within Ohio.
Mr. Garlock was a U. S. Army Veteran, member of First Christian Church, the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association, Alliance Retired Teachers Association and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Doris (Miller) Garlock, whom he married December 27, 1953.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry Garlock, Curt Garlock, Marvin Sutcliffe, and sister, Carolyn Sutcliffe Willis.
A private family service will be held.
