Dale Wayne Seevers, age 80, of Henderson, NV, formerly of Alliance, OH, died at 12:40 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at TLC Care Center in Henderson, NV.
He was born February 1, 1930, in Alliance, OH, to Wayne M. and Valentina (Oswalt) Seevers.
Dale was a brick mason for Transue and Williams Co., in Alliance for 23 years until his retirement. He was also the Chief Union Steward and Vice President of his Union at Transue and Williams.
He was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sebring, OH, and current member of the Neighborhood Church in Henderson, NV. Dale was a member of the DAV and AARP.
Dale was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Phyl L. Seevers of Henderson, NV and James and Louise Seevers of Michigan; five grandchildren: Christopher, Lance, Matthew, Tammy, and Blair; and two great-grandchildren: Jo Lyn and Cameron.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen (Girard) Seevers whom he married September 5, 1953; one granddaughter; and three sisters, Loma Monnet, Ferne Riffle, and Jean Virzak.
Dale loved his family very much. He loved to laugh and go on adventures. He will be missed.
A Memorial Service was held at Neighborhood Church in Henderson, and was very well attended.
